The Trading Estate has played an integral role in the Slough community for 90 years and currently provides around 25 per cent of all jobs in the Borough. The redevelopment plans are set to build on this for the future and will deliver over 4,000 new jobsin addition to the 17,000 existing jobs on the Estate.

To help local people access these employment opportunities, SEGRO will deliver Slough Aspire, a dedicated Skills Training Centre,in the early stages of the development. This new Trading Estate facility will be open to companies, schools and local people, enhancing and strengthening links between the community and business. Slough Aspire will be delivered and funded through a genuinepublic-private partnership. SEGRO will provide leadership and a commitment to assistance in kind worth £1 million to support theproject becoming sustainable over 10 years. Public and private sector partners will deliver bespoke skills, training and careers advice services.

SEGRO is already working in partnership with agencies to provide skills and training opportunities so that residents can take advantage of the newly-generated jobs and business have better access to improved local skills.
