The Trading Estate is strategically located on the doorstep of the national motorway network to London and the South East, as well as Heathrow Airport. The development plans will build on this through the delivery of a comprehensive package of transport improvements. This will ensure there is a range of ways to travel to, from and around the Estate.

The proposals also incorporate an innovative travel management plan, designed to give people options to use more sustainable modes of transport.

The new initiatives include:

• Direct and frequent shuttle services around the local area, including to and from the town centre and local rail stations;
• An improved cycle network;
• New pedestrian routes and crossings;
• A SEGRO-funded Transport Manager who will provide information and coordination for occupiers and visitors;
• A new Leigh Road bridge;
• Two Transport Hubs;
• A real-time journey information and booking service for public transport;
• Incentives to reduce car use, such as car sharing.
